About Date Calculator

This tool has two modes. Date Difference finds the exact duration between two dates in years, months, weeks and days, plus a weekday/weekend breakdown. Add/Subtract Date adds or removes a span of time from a starting date to find the resulting date.

All calculations use accurate calendar date arithmetic, correctly handling leap years and varying month lengths.

Free Date Calculator — Days Between Dates & Add/Subtract Time

If you've searched for "how many days between two dates" or "what date is 90 days from today" — this tool answers both instantly. The HB Tools Date Calculator by Haridash lets you find the exact duration between any two dates, or add and subtract days, weeks, months and years from a starting date. No software. No account. It's built for developers checking deadlines, project managers planning timelines, HR teams calculating leave periods, students tracking deadlines, or anyone who just needs an accurate date answer fast.

How to Calculate the Difference Between Two Dates

Switch to the Date Difference tab, pick a Start Date and an End Date, then click Calculate Difference. The tool shows the duration broken down into years, months and days, plus totals in weeks and days, and a weekday vs. weekend split — useful for estimating business days.

If the end date is earlier than the start date, the tool still calculates the duration and flags it as a date in the past relative to your selection.

How to Add or Subtract Days From a Date

Switch to the Add/Subtract Date tab. Pick a starting date, choose whether to Add or Subtract, enter a value, and select a unit — Days, Weeks, Months or Years. Click Calculate Date to instantly see the resulting date, its day of the week, and how many days that is from today.

This mode is commonly used for things like figuring out a deadline 30 days from a contract signing date, a due date 9 months from a known date, or a warranty expiry 2 years after a purchase date.

    Why Calendar-Accurate Math Matters

Naively dividing total days by 30 to estimate months, or by 365 to estimate years, produces incorrect results because months have different lengths and leap years add an extra day roughly every four years. This calculator uses native calendar date arithmetic so that adding "1 month" to January 31st correctly lands on the last valid day of February, and date differences across leap years are always accurate.

Does This Tool Store My Dates?

No. All calculations happen instantly in your browser using JavaScript — nothing is sent to or stored on our servers. Recent calculations are saved only in your browser's local storage for convenience, and you can clear that history at any time.
